Who should I do my biography on?

I have to do a biography on anyone for summer homework, and I’m going to be a freshmen. I want to choose someone interesting, and I can do the report on anybody. Any ideas for famous singers or actors, I like swimming and volleyball as sports, so maybe a famous athlete… I also play the violin, so maybe a musician…Anybody famous basically. Any ideas will help! Thanks!

I try to pick someone obscure who few people know about. It’s always interesting and more enlightening.

I’ve done biographies on:

Hilaire Belloc
Maria II of Portugal
Prince Abert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Queen Christina of Sweden
Copernicus
Nero
Ovid
Jethro Tull (the inventor, not the band!)
Agrippina the Younger

As you can see, I’m interested in writers, monarchy, Europe in general, and ancient Rome. So just go to Wikipedia, type in something you’re interested in, like "volleyball", and click on random links until you find someone obscure and interesting.

Good luck!

Brian Keenan, he was one of the hostages taken in Lebanon in the 80s, only Islamic Jihad made a mistake and took an Irish Citizen in error. There was no political point in holding Irish hostages, they didn’t know what to do with him so they held him for 4 1/2 years. Buy or borrow a copy of his book "An Evil Cradling". It is so readable, so interesting and such an inspiration. It will be different to any of your classmates and very educational. Trust me you’ll love this book.

Don’t write a school project based on anything you read on Wikipedia – pleeeaaase, it’s so full of errors
