    one time = early …
one time = early EARLY. Learn your line learn your lines learn your lines. ALWAYS be Courteous to EVERYONE. EVERYONE is there to make you look GREAT. SMILE and BE HAPPY..after all you ARE WORKING!!!! and the MOST IMPORTANT THING. DONT be a DICK!!!!!!! No one wants to deal with pain in the actors who cant stop bitching. and of course….no matter what the call time no matter what the shoot hours are..HAVE FUN!

    Because until you, …
Because until you, yourself, become “established” [as Tom Hanks is], it is considered very unprofessional, unless you have a scene with that celebrity, and “chat” in-between Takes. As an actor who has worked in professional film, I know this to be truth.

In as far as ” …
In as far as “talking to celebrities,” strange this “expert” puts it in those terms, a little star stuck, are we? “Actors” are people too. As another actor (and you should consider yourself that) there are appropriate times to say hello, have nice day, etc. The inappropriate times are on the set. If an actor is hanging out off set, at lunch, in wardrobe, make-up, there’s nothing wrong with saying hello or how are you. They don’t have to respond. You take that chance.

    These are not tips …
These are not tips for principle working actors in film – these are tips for background. Does Tom Hanks need to remember to bring the correct wardrobe and ask a PA if he can go to bathroom??
