What is the book of repertoire that an actor takes into an audition called?

I know that it is recommended for an actor to have a binder or notebook with their songs and monologues neatly organized in it. What is that called exactly and where can I find a template to help me set mine up appropriately? Thanks for the help!

It’s called a portfolio. You don’t need a template to help you organize it. Put your monologues and sheet music into sheet covers in a small binder. I recommend a table of contents, and maybe dividers to separate your different monologues: classical comedic, classical dramatic, contemporary comedic, and contemporary dramatic, and then your sheet music. The size of the binder depends on the number of monologues and songs you have, but generally most actors have one inch.

no template needed. just organize it neatly in a binder that the pages turn easily for an accompanist.
