Are there any other examples of an actor or actress feeling discomforted or having an reaction to the makeup they’ve worn for a specific role in a show or movie?

Wizard of oz originally had a different tin man, the first left because of a lung condition the aluminum dust gave him. The second actor struggled with it as well.

Same movie, Dorothy had her boobs wrapped so tightly that it tore breast tissue, because the studio said her chest was too large.

But every time I look at the reflection, I never see any film gear. Obviously, if the glasses are shot at an angle, nothing will show, but many of the close up shots involve the actors turning their faces from one side to the other. Do they edit the reflections out?

They use a polarizing filter on the camera’s lens.

Acting is not acting at all, it’s reacting. Amazing body language comes from reacting honestly. Actors that simply act are always wooden and never believable. They consciously think about what they need to do with their body. If you just saw a snake, you would not be thinking about how to hold your body or where to put your hands.
